An important role within each care home, you’ll support the deputy and home manager with a number of important duties and administration tasks with frequent contact to our Careport head office. This includes being a first point of contact to all visitors and promoting a positive and professional manner at all times.
A clean, comfortable home is of upmost importance for our residents and these roles help achieve this in our care homes to a high standard. Housekeeping enable residents to feel they live in a safe and homely environment, making it a pleasant experience for guests and families to visit. These roles require you to prioritise workload and maintain cleaning regimes to a high standard.
Working in the kitchen to prepare and serve nutritious meals for all residents, you will take into account specific dietary requirements and create a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere for residents to dine whilst maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene regulations.
Getting to know the residents and providing activities that keep their mind and body active whilst socialising within the care home. Activity Coordinators help inspire residents to stay healthy and also organise events within the care home to promote wellbeing.
Care Assistants/ Support Workers
These are one of the most important and rewarding positions within the care home. Providing support and care for our residents 24 hours a day to enhance their quality of life. These roles combine care and friendship to both residents and their families in order to retain their dignity and individuality. Senior carers are often qualified to NVQ 3 and are authorised to administer and handle service user’s medication. Seniors oversee care staff and the running of the home in absence of the Home Manager.
Both Registered General Nurses and Mental Health Nurses work amongst our portfolio of homes offering dedicated care to residents. They deliver direct care and effective supervision of care staff members.
Leadership and Management
Care home managers provide strong and professional leadership throughout the home; ensuring all legal requirements and company policies are adhered to, whilst maintaining care for both residents and staff. Other positions include our regional managers; these can look after a number of care homes within a region to provide support and interim management when needed.
